Printable Coupons

Sometimes I feel like I can't buy something without a coupon, even if it's just 15% off, and especially if I know there's one floating out there! I get a lot of coupons through the mail, but I also print off a lot on-line. Here are some of the ways you can do this:

-When I want something from clean & clear, maybelline, or a drugstore brand, I go to their website and sign up for their e-mails. They will usually send you a coupon for $1 or $2 off their product.

-Sign up for e-mail alerts at your fav stores- New York & Co, Bath & Body Works, Kohls, JCPenney, ect. They will let you know when they are having a good sale and also send you great coupons. But be warned- they will send you e-mail pretty much everyday!

-I use this website- http://www.coupons.com for groceries, cosmetics, glade candles, and that type of thing. They are always adding new things, so I usually check it once a week before I go to the grocery store.

-I go to Ebay to buy printable coupons for under $2.00. My favorite one is Kohls. Usually you can get 20, $5 off coupons for about $2.00. They will send them straight to your e-mail and you can print them from there. Now, when you go to Kohls to use them, you are only supposed to have one, so be careful that you don't get caught using multiple coupons. Go to a different cashier or spread them out on different days.

-I go to http://slickdeals.net/forums/showthread.php?sduid=0&t=708251 for 15% JCP coupons.

-My all time favorite website for printable coupons is http://printable-coupons.blogspot.com/ It's amazing, there are so many stores, and they are constantly being updated with the latest coupons. You can browse all of them or type your store in the search.

I hope these tips help you. If you know of any other good websites to go to for printable coupons, feel free to leave me a comment!

Shopaholic

I do believe I'm a shopaholic! I am very responsible with money, and although I have credit cards for different stores, I never buy what I can't pay off at the end of the month. So...here's where I went this week:

Old Navy. I had a $10 off $50 coupon I got in the mail. Also, if you "like" them on facebook, you can print out coupons all the time. I do not have an old navy credit card. I feel like it's hit or miss there. There's not always something that I love, like at other stores. I only bought two things, and I did not reach $50, but I was with my mom and so we combined our purchases to get the $10 off. Here's what I bought:

The pink scoop neck top was $12.50. It made me look very boobilicious, so if I would wear it out, especially to work, I would wear a black cami under it. The black tank was on clearance for $6.99. It's very silkie and has cute lace detailing on the shoulders. This would look really nice with the aqua tank I bought from JCP last week.

After that, I had $10 in KOHLS cash that I needed to spend. I earned this for spending over $50 at kohls the last time I was there. I bought some bathroom rugs and a picture that I'm not going to show you lol. I also still had my 20% off mailer that was still good. Here's what I bought this time:

The blue top is by SO... and it was in the Jrs section. Kohls Jrs run really small, so I had to get it in an extra large. I'm usually a medium or large in other stores. It was on clearance for $5.50. Great for a simple work look with black pants or black capris. You could jazz it up with some jewelry. The green cami is the exact same one I got last week in orange. It was on clearance for $4.00 and I couldn't pass it up. It came in another nice color.
Ok....the boots. They are by Mudd and they were $45. When it comes to cute boots, I will spend up to $50.00. These are so perfect because I could wear them with leggings, skinny jeans, or bootcut jeans. They have almost a cowboy boot look to them, but in an edgy way. Now...the reason I love them the most is because they have a SMALL HEEL. I am 5'10 and I can not walk in anything over about an inch and a half. These were perfect, so comfortable, and I could wear them in fall or winter. They also came in light brown. Also, I know that they run out of sizes super fast. I bought them on my KOHLS charge, so if I happen to change my mind about them, which I don't think I will, I can take them back. I just couldn't pass them up.
So with my kohls cash and 20% off, I spent only $50 for everything. Oh, I also got a small painting that was $13, and still only paid $50 for all 4 items.
My next purchase should be coming in the mail soon. I can not wait to show you!!

~*~Shopping Mood~*~

Lately I have really been in the shopping mood! I had to take a break because I got married this summer, so I had to save some cash. Now that everything is over and paid for, I feel like I can get back into my normal spending habits...SHHH! Don't tell my husband ;) Also I would like to blog more so that I don't have to combine 3 shopping trips into one like I am doing now.

First I went to J.C.Penny. I had a $10 off $25 coupon that I got in the mail. These are the two things I bought that day:

The pink and white striped shirt is actually a thin sweatshirt material. Really comfortable, it will be great for fall. It is in the Juniors dept and it's the brand Energie. It was $17.99. I still needed to reach $25 so that I could get the $10 off. So then I found the short sweater and it was on clearance for $11.99. So I did go over my $25 coupon, but I thought this was a good price for the sweater, especially since I'll be able to wear it to work. It's also in the Jrs dept and it's from the brand Take Out.

A few days later my mom and I had a 20% off KOHLS coupon. You get these if you have the KOHLS credit card. Like I said in my previous posts, if you shop and KOHLS or JCP often, I would highly recommend getting their credit card. I get so many fabulous deals and coupons. This one was in the mailer. You could get 15, 20, or 30% off. You would be surprised how often you get the 30! These are the items I bought:

The first one was in the misses and it's the ELLE must have cami in Chrysanthm. It is such a pretty color for summer or fall. You could wear just about any basic color cardigan on top of this- black, tan, white, or brown. This shirt was on clearance for $4.00!!! Originally $20! I did good with this one.
The grey one if from the Jrs section. It's by the brand SO...It's another piece that's great for fall. I could definitely wear this one to work with just about any color cami. It is so soft and I love the knitted look of it. It was originally $36.00 and I got it on sale for $19.99. That's pretty high on my price point, but since it was a nice cardigan and I had the 20% off, I thought it was worth it. I rarely buy any one piece of clothing for over $20, unless it's jeans or work pants.
When I went to check out, they gave me an additional 10% off my purchases because of a friends and family sale! So I received 30% off of my purchases!

So the next week I got TWO awesome JCP coupons in the mail. I got a $15 off $15 because I have their platinum credit card- that means I spent over $1000 at JCP the first year I had their credit card. I randomly get these great coupons a few times per year. I also get many $10 of $10 for spending a certain amount of money each month using the credit card. On top of that, I got another mailer for $10 off $25. If you have more than one coupon, and they won't let you use both, a great way to use both the savings is to do 2 separate transactions. That's what I did for this.
=

This is Nicole by Nicole Miller. She has her own section in the store. I bought the cardigan in the teal color, but the blue was great too! It was $18.00, but since I had my coupon, I only paid $3.00!!! This would look really cute with a white tank and a black casual skirt. Or with jeans too.

My 2nd transaction was:

The cami was on clearance for $8.99. It's very flowy and would look great with a black or red cardigan on top. It's from Passport and it was originally $30. The jewelry are both the brand MIXIT. The bracelets were on clearance for $3.00 and necklace was on sale for $13.99.
It's a pretty basic necklace, but the fun knots make it interesting. So altogether I paid $18.00 for my 2nd transaction.

I feel like I have SO much more to tell you, but I realize this is getting rather long. I'll have to save it for another day. I really enjoy doing this, it's a great hobby for me, and I hope you'll leave me a comment and tell me what you think of my purchases! Thanks for reading :)

Lately I've been trying to find cute, stylish outfits that are appropriate for work. I found this really cute dress at J.C.Penney. It was on sale for $20, plus I had a 15% coupon. I shop there a lot, so I signed up for e-mails and I have their credit card. They also give a lot of 15% off coupons. Every time you buy something there, your receipt has a code on it. If you go to the website, you fill out a short survey, then they give you another 15% off coupon.
I have been trying to find leggings to go with this dress. I'm very tall- 5'10 and the dress is long enough, but I just want to feel comfortable. I've looked everywhere- Walmart, J.C.Penney, Kohls, Meijer....no leggings! I'm looking for the find that goes just past your knees..I think that would look the best for fall. If anyone knows a good place to get them, please let me know!

For winter, you could do long leggings with black boots. Now, that may seem like a lot of black, but that's what accessories are for! I'm not usually a gold person, but I think on all black, gold is really pretty. I have a chunky chain link gold necklace, gold dangly earrings, and a gold bracelet. I think that would go really good with the outfit.

I've been looking at these boots from Meijer. They are perfect if you're tall. They are pointy black boots with a small heel. I love them, they are $45, which is pretty high, but it's very rare you can find boots with a small heel like that. I'm waiting for when they have a pair in my size. I'll be going to New York and Co. to get my pants for work next week. They have size tall!

I went to Kohls the other day and they've been having amazing sales. I received a 30% coupon in the mail because I have the Kohls credit card. I highly recommend you get this card if you like to shop at Kohls. I am constantly getting coupons for at least 15%, but I have also gotten 20% & 30% off. Here's another trick to saving money if you like Kohls: Go on ebay and type in "Kohls Coupons" You can buy 20, $5 off coupons for as little as $1.00. I have done this many, many times- they have always worked and they come straight to you e-mail in as little as a few hours. You just print them off from there. I didn't have one this past time I went, but I did have my 30% off coupon. I'm starting work again soon (I teach elementary music...you can guess what my salary is like) so I wanted some new work clothes and jewelry. I bought this necklace and these earrings:

I *LOVE* this necklace because of the different types of metal, layering, and the cute pearls make it a little more feminine.

I've only recently begun to like dangle earrings. I wear a lot of pink and these had a slight edge to them as well as being girly. I got both of these items for under $15.

My friend's birthday was coming up, so of course I had to get her a present. I bought her this scarf and these earrings:

She's interning right now at a psychologist office and has been dressing up for work. I thought these were stylish, yet professional. The scarf was $15 and the earrings were around $8. Don't forget, I had my 30% off coupon.

I also bought a candy pink SO boyfriend cardigan (the long, button up kind) for only $7!- and a dark peach (sea crab is the color) open neck sweater for only $12. I couldn't find pictures of these. They were on the clearance rack. Winter isn't that far away people~!!

So for alll this stuff I bought, my grand total was just under $45! I'd say I got an awesome deal. Candies is a great brand for jewelry- it's different, but not too crazy, and when they have a sale, the price isn't too crazy either. The clothes were a great buy. My friend loved her gifts. Please comment if you know of any other great deals from Kohls!

Hi & welcome to Fashion Cents! I started this blog because I love fashion, everything about it- clothes, jewelry, make up, perfumes- you name it, I'm obsessed with it. I want this blog to be different. My only actual background in fashion is reading Cosmo monthly and shopping! If you are not a big spender, then this blog is for you. I shop at Kohls, J.C.Penney, New York & Co., Old Navy, T.J.Maxx, Marshalls- retail stores, no name brands, and for the most part, that's fine with me. I use coupons ALL the time, and I can give you hints on where to get the best deals- and you can give me some too! Please leave me a comment, and let me know where your favorite place to shop is! Thanks for reading, and I hope you come back!
